Urgent problem about "permissions".

Frank Martin

I have Access2003

I was trying to get rid of that annoying popup when Access is opened, and
now the system is asking me about "permissions" and I am locked out of the
database.

I am the only user and there is only this one machine.

I have got into my database by using the <nme>.bak file created today, but I
don't know if I should start entering data into a *.bak database.

Can someone advise me haw to get rid of the "permission" block, as I have
little knowledge about databases and computers.

Please help, Frank

Thanks this worked, though I lost the trasactions of about an hour before.

Is there any way to have the whole database automatically copy itself into a
designated folder on startup each morning? I have to do this manually now
and again.

If the database is split into the recommended "front end / back end"
(FE/BE) structure, the front end can copy the back end (which contains
the data) anywhere chosen, under program control.

Google the Access groups on FE/BE & similar terms for more information
about the other benefits of using an FE/BE stucture.
