Urgent... word freezes screen cannot open

all my files are on microsoft word 2000.. but i cannot
open word.. whenever i click on word programs the computer
freezes .. PLEASE HELP.. I'VE SCANNED FOR VIRUSES..I'VE
REMOVED AND REINSTALLED PROGRAM... I'VE SCANNED FOR
PARASITES.... I'M GOING CRAZY ON THIS... TECH HELP CHARGED
ME 60.00 @1.95 A MINUTE (ISSUE) ISUEE NOT RESOLVED...
WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO... THANKS SO MUCH
