I'm a Mac user but not an Office for Mac user currently. I am seeing
a problem, however, with users of my website that are using
Entourage. When resetting their password an email is sent that
contains a url that looks like this:
http://example.com/index.cfm?page=R...mple.com&resetToken=S87D9390D98FD983NDKCLSKDJ
When Entourage users view this email the link instead looks like this:
http://example.com/[email protected]=S87D9390D98FD983NDKCLSKDJ
If you didn't see the difference, all of the "&variableName" portions
of the query string are being omitted. I had a user that received
this incorrect link access his same inbox through his companies
webmail and the link is just fine. This leads me to believe that the
issue is restricted to Entourage users only and that this issue is
independent of the actual mail server.
Has anyone seen this before? Is there some preference that the user
can change to prevent this from happening. Do I have to simply URL
encode the address in the email? And if I do have to URL encode the
link, why is this only affecting Entourage users?
Any help or direction to an article discussing this issue would be
greatly appreciated. I've tried all sorts of search criteria and
can't seem to find anything related to this issue. Thanks in advance!
