Usage abuse question

I am taking a MS Office 2000 class. The instructor asked
if using a single-user copy on two computers would be
unethical.
I would like to get some feedback on this thought. Thanks.

I wonder if it is unethical to create a program without
providing indepth help files so that the user when
encountering or desiring assistance with a specific
feature of the program must pay the creator of said
program (via credit card no less!)in order to use what
they already paid for. Its like buying a car with a hidden
spare tire and having to pay the manufacturer to tell you
where it is. Or, in your case, it would be like buying a
car and having to pay to have passengers

Just my opinion

If the EULA permits it then no it is not. Read the EULA for a retail
copy of MS Office. (Short version= One user, one desktop install AND one
portable install= two computers and two legal installations of the same
copy)

Perhaps the location of the spare tire is illustrated in the Owners
manual which has never been opened by said confused owner?
