Outlook 2003 SP2 on Windows XP SP2

Customer has 4 pst files on his home computer. Wants to transfer them to his
work computer. Decides to put the pst files on a USB memory stick. Has 3
files @ ~80MB and one at ~350MB. Once transferred over from the memory stick
to his C: drive at work the files show the correct size in Explorer. If he
opens the files from the C: drive where they have been copied via
Outlook>Open Data File they open "empty" in Outlook. When you look at the
properties of the pst file from within Outlook they show empty. When you go
back and look at them in Explorer on the C: drive they now show as 256K each.
(empty)

Help!

Well, honestly, first thing I would try is copying the files again and make
sure that Outlook is not running when he copies them, including opening up
Task Manager and verifying that outlook.exe is not an active process.
