Use assign resources icon to chg Unit% on many tasks. Having issue

It was suggested that I do the following for changing unit% on resource
assignments for my whole schedule.

Select all Tasks then click Assign Resources icon (or Alt+F10) then enter

100% for your resources. This will recalculate all durations as with fixed
Units Project will assume Work won't change.

The task type for almost every task is Fixed work.
I selected all my tasks on the Gantt Chart view by highlighting on the whole
Gantt chart. I than clicked Alt+F10. It brings up the dialog box. I than
enter let's say 100% starting at each resource at the top and enter 100%.
However, it does NOT keep the 100% as I move down through each resource
manually entering 100%. When I am done it only gives me the close option.
So...I close and than nothing changes.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Bud,

I think something is missing in the process. You need to replace
each resource with the same resource at 100%. Select all tasks,
click Assign Resource, pick the first resource in the Assign
Resources dialog, click the replace button. In the replace dialog,
select the same resource, enter 100% and click OK to replace the
resource at 100%. Go select the next resource in the dialog and
repeat.
