use custom dynamic connector for autoconnect

The autoconnect function uses the default Visio dynamic connector. I have a
custom dynamic connector (with a name other than "dynamic connector") that I
would like to have used instead. If I place my connector in the document
stencil and rename it to "dynamic connector", the autoconnect function will
use it.

However, this means that autoplaced connectors have a different master than
ones that I drag onto the page from my stencil. I would prefer that all
connectors be derived from the same master.

Is there a registry setting or another way to have autoconnect use a
connector that I specify?

An alternative might be for you to make your own tool button
that kicks the macro to drop your new dynamic connector.

That doesn't accomplish the same thing. I want people to be able to "shoot"
my connector to an adjacent shape using the blue autoconnect triangles. And
to add both a new shape from the stencil and a connector in the same way that
autoconnect works with the flowchart shapes.
