Use Find & Replace to format centred '#' marks

Is there a tricky, clever, way to format 'style' /special character(?)
within the 'find & replace' to center all '#' marks in a long document?

i.e. to make the '#' marks appear on the center of each line. (at the
moment their on the left-hand side./ or if anyone knows any other
non-manual ways, that would be great, too.

(the # marks are to separate paragraphs -- and apparently they're
supposed to be centered)

Thank you. {word 2004, mac OSX}

Hi mack,

New dialog for you to explore--if you click the blue arrow in the Find
dialog, it expands and you can do all sorts of things with the Format and
Special menus in it.

In this case, you can find # followed by a paragraph mark (enter the
paragraph mark in Find using the special menu) (or skip the paragraph mark
and check the box for "whole words only") (or if you have no other #s in
your doc, just find that)

You can create a Divider style, that is centered, and probably has some
Space Before and After (I'm assuming this is marking a break in your novel),
and apply it by formatting a blank Replace box with that style (use the
Format menu).

Or you can use direct formatting by finding the # paragraph and Replacing it
with a blank replace box formatted as Centered, also with Space Before or
After (via Format Paragraph in the dialog)

The blank Replace dialog will not delete your #--but it will work equally
well if you enter the # in the Replace box as well as formatting it.

Created style ok. Space before and after not sure-- seems ok

Glad it worked--the F&R is exceedingly useful.

You know Mack, it's quite impossible to figure out your messages that are
replies.

Google appears to have a very weird quoting setting going on--but entering
some extra hard returns between quote and your text would certainly help.

I can see them perfectly without even trying, nevertheless, I will hit
them as you suggest. Please accept apol. Very grateful, by the way.

Document text bother next:

The problem is my doc. always opens with a 'macro' box= 'enable macros'

I have tried to change font to 'courier', but it always opens in
'Times'.

Am doing this by trying to format it in the 'Format'> 'style' box.
Didn't 'macro' my doc on purpose.

Could some kind soul please tell me what to do to fix it. thank you
kindly..

to change to courier in style sheet: Is it 'select>Add to template> and
Automatically update'
(seem to recall caution advised when wanting to press thes buttons
before)

If this post makes no sense, please tell me. It goes with my reply to
Daiya's '10.57' that I haven't seen appear.

I think if you started over, and started a new thread since this is a new
question, it might all make more sense. I'm a bit confused about what you
are trying to do.
