Note that the transition formula entry is with regards to
1-2-3 release 2.2

Anything in particular?

If the OP means 123 slash (aka Classic) menu commands, then no joy. The
123 /-menu emulator is/was separate and distinct from transition
formula entry/evaluation.

Not really. Excel 2003 no longer provides support for 123 /-menu
commands. While it may be possible to write a LOT of VBA code to
provide a means of simulating 123's /-menu, it'd be a waste of time
(read: I myself wouldn't do it for free, and I doubt anyone else would
either).

You have two practical alternatives, and only you can decide which to
choose: (1) revert to an older versio of Excel that does simulate the
123 /-menu, or (2) finally learn how to do things in Excel without
using 123 /-menu commands at all.
