Use macros from another document or template?

Eric

I'll be working on a series of documents from various sources. I want to use
my own macros and keyboard shortcuts from my own template, but I don't want
to put the macros and keyboard shortcuts into each document that I work on.

How can I do this?

Thanks.

Save the macros and keyboard shortcuts in a global template. This is what
happens by default: they're saved in Normal.dot. But you can equally well
save them in another template and save that template in Word's Startup
folder. It will be loaded at startup, and the macros and shortcuts will be
available to all documents.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RXJpYw==?=,

Create each document from that template, specifically. Save it to your
Templates folder and it should be available from the File/New dialog box.

If you need help figuring out where the Templates folder is, or how to display
the dialog box, please tell us which version of Word you're working with.
