use microsoft office word 2003 to edit messages

While using “Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages†in Outlook 2003, the
system hangs and winword.exe consumes about 98% of system resources rendering
my system useless. I have tried to repair and reinstall Microsoft Office
several times without success. I am using Outlook and word Version
11.6568.6568. I would appreciate any help you could provide.
