use nonbreaking space in fig and table caption crossreference

T

trace

Cross-references to tables and figures in MS Word should use non-breaking
spaces, rather than regular spaces, between the item name (Table, Figure,
etc.) and the number. Default Word behavior can leave a line starting with
the table or figure number by itself.

The field with the cross-reference can be edited to put in a non-breaking
space, but it reverts to a regular space when fields are updated for printing.
