Use of Flash within Frontpage

I have no idea how to use Flash within Frontpage sites, but would like to
learn as I feel this could be very beneficial for my clients who wish to have
more of a competitive edge. Could someone please steer me in the right
direction as to:

- Where to get Flash
- Installation of Flash into Frontpage
- Using Flash to create great things for within a Frontpage site

"Flash" is a separate (and expensive) application by Macromedia - you don't
"install" anything except the Flash player/plugin in your browser.

You don't create flash animations within Frontpage (Flash itself is not an
addin, rather a separate application),
When you've created your animation or menus or whatever, you can *insert*
them into your Frontpage web, but you create them out side of frontpage in
Flash, or another cheaper program called "Swish".

www.macromedia.com is where can *buy* Flash from (or your local computer
store),

Hi all,
I was interested in inserting Flash instead of movie files (.mov format) on
my website as I read that Flash is more universally accepted than other
formats

I came across a program called Turbine Video Encoder, which purports to
convert various file formats to Flash, but I can't get it to work for me.

I guess the purpose of my post is twofold:
1. Does anyone have experience with Turbine Video Encoder and know how to
use it to convert .mov files?
2. Are there any other conversion programs out there that work?

I use Turbine Video Encoder and it works fine for me
- the documentation with it is pretty clear and the results quite good
(just don't try to make the flash larger than the original .mov size)

(usually at least a reduction of 25% of original .mov file size and flash streaming capabilities)

Once you generate your Flash file (outside of FP) you need to File Import it into FP and add it to your page using say the Jimco
Flasher

Interesting.

I have reinstalled TVE and tried again using the .mov file which is on my
website (images\carole-and-tammy.mov).

I opened TVE and selected File|Open Movie. I got a black screen and, on the
right, some info:
Size 400*300
Frame Rate 12.0 FPS
Mono 8.0 KHz, 16 bit
Duration 2:00

I thought the first frame should load into the screen but it doesn't.

I have encoded this and I get sound but no picture. I used Jimco Fasher, and
this gives the same on my site - sound but no picture.

I guess it is off-topic to pursue this here, but any ideas what is wrong?
