Use of Hyperlinks

I have a field in my table calles RelatedDocs which I have set as a
Hyperlink, so that a user can type the name of a document relevant to the
contents of the field like Alecs Letter.doc so in theory my clicking the
hyperlink Alecs Letter.doc is opened in word. The only way I can get this to
work is by typing the full path of the document in the hyperlink ie C:\My
Documents\Alecs Letter.doc, is there a way round this making in simpler for
the user??

Alec,

If you are using a hyperlink, then ther answer is No. The hyperlink
can't mind-read, so you have to tell it the location of the file.
However, there may be alternative ways of doing it if, for example,
all files in RelatedDocs will always be in the same folder.
