Use of Milestones in Project

I am trying to use milestones in a project that are color coded.
I have set the following configuration in the Bar Styles Menu.
Name: Milestone1
Color: Aquamarine (Diamond Shape)
Show For...Tasks: Milestone, Flag1
Row: 1
From: Start
To: Finish

I have 9 milestones all together with different colors.Now in one Project it
works up until milestone 6....doesn't work for 7,8, and then works for 9.
The other project it doesn't change the colors at all.
Does anyone know what is wrong?

Go to Format>Barstyles (not bar). Select Milestone and assign the color and
shape. Hope this helps.

Hi JaShawn ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

When you say it doen't work, what do you mean? No milestone, wrong colour,
repeated colour, or what? Note that the order the styles appear is
important as Project will assign the top style first and work down the list,
overwriting any previous settings if similar.
