Use of Windows system colors

I'm trying to make all my screens the standard colors. I have the list of
colors but the names are very cryptic. Is there any way to know which colors
to use for which screen elements? Also, I noticed that both Word and Excel
use special colors which don't seem to be in the list. E.g. Excel uses Orange
to indicate the current row and column and Word uses some blue text in its
Tools--Options window. Does anyone have any idea which of the 'system colors'
these are? I'd like to make my screens a bit more interesting than just
white, black and gray.

mscertified,
Right Click on your destop.
Select Appearance/Advanced.
Using the Item Combo box, you can browse through the system colors you
have.
In any color selection, in the advanced section, there is an Other...
color choice on the color drop down.
Clicking Other... shows that each color is a specific combination of
Red, Green, Blue values. Use those same RGB settings on your Access forms
and controls to exactly match your windows colors.

Ex.
My Desktop setting is a "sand" color. If I select Other... in the color
selection combo, I can see that the RGB for that color is Red=213,
Green=204, Blue=187
Any Access control that uses those same RGB values will match your
windows colors.

The way I understood this to work is the Access colors have to be set to the
negative values in order form them to change when the Windows settings are
changed. So I need to know which negative value to use for my various screen
elements. This is my problem as it does not seem to be documented anywhere
that I have found.
