has anyone tried using the offline folder to keep a copy on a local drive but
still have a copy available via the network dbase? It seems to me that a
shared folder with subfolders for each user might do the trick, allowing
everyone to have access to any saved files. I was thinking that if each user
set up a folder with the same name under the same drive (lets say
C:/bcmfiles) then the link to each file might work. That folder would then
be sync'd to one on the server, backing up all files.
I just switched up to 07BCM and am testing for our small company (5 users)
and have not yet had a chance to put the database on the server, but I was
looking for a way to get around the limitation of each remote user saving
files (quotes and such) on their laptop but other users not being able to see
those files without saving them to the server, which would mean that we would
have to be online to have access to them.
