Possibly. If it was OEM (for sale or use on a new PC on the disk label)
then no as it dies with the first computer it was installed onto.

If retail then yes as long as you can get it to install. Office 2002 and
newer are not supported on Windows Vista and later operating systems but
most features and programs will install and still work on those operating
systems.

Remove any trial Office program and their related activation assistant and
then reboot the computer prior to attempting to install any retail version
of Office.

I think that you meant to say that versions of Office prior to 2003 are not
fully supported by Vista and Windows7. I'm not aware of any compatibility
issues with 2003 (I use it with Vista with no issues). There are issues with
Office 2000 and Vista with Outlook.

You can do anything you want. You paid for the product so who cares. The only
time you *may* have a problem is when the office product on your old laptop is
OEM branded in which case the idiots may have tampered with the binaries to
stop you from installing on a new machine. I must add that I have had no such
problems but then I am a seasoned computer technician.
