Use Word as a journal or diary

Is there a way to use MS Word as a journal or log book. For instance, you
can put ".LOG" in a notepad document and it will automatically add the
current date and time every time you open it.

Create an Autoopen macro that contains:

ActiveDocument.Range.InsertAfter Format(Now, "MMMM dd, yyyy - HH:mm") & vbCr
