User Calendar Will not open

John

I have a user who can't open the calendar in Outlook 2007. The error message
is at the start of Outlook "Could not read the calendar" and then on the
calendar option to view one's calendar the message in the middle of the
screen is "cannot display folder".

I have ran the OST Integrity Check twice on the workstation. The second
time is after a restart. The results of the OST Integrity Check is as
follows....

First time....

15:03:51 Beginning offline folder file integrity check.
15:03:51 Performing initial synchronization.
15:03:51 Synchronizer Version 12.0.6211
15:03:51 Synchronizing Mailbox 'Katherine Slay'
15:03:51 Synchronizing Hierarchy
15:03:52 Terminated in error
15:03:52 [80040600-10060101-20-410]
15:03:52 The file C:\Documents and Settings\kslay\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is in use and cannot
be accessed. Close any application that is using this file, and then try
again. You might need to restart your computer.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on? Any help would be great.

Did you run the check while Outlook was closed? Also, did you know that you
can delete the OST file and it will recreate when you open Outlook? Try doing
that first to see if this clears up any issues. If that doesn't work, try
opening Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch.

Do you connect to an Exchange server?

I closed Outlook both times, before and after the restart. I have deleted
the OST file twice, reinstall Office 2007 and I have completely rebuilted the
system (fdisk the drive, New OS, Net Office 2007). The problem will reappear
in a couple of months. We are running on an Exchange 2007 server.
