Hi all,

when I try to delete a user project server 2007says:

test_epm : The resource is owner on one or more projects and cannot be deleted

I am shure, that this user has NO Projects and is not assigned to any
projects with work. I deleted already all assignments for this user.

Peter

the clients and the server are on the latest patch level

Navigate to the Project Center page and apply the Summary view. Click the
Settings menu and choose the Group item. In the Group pane, click the Group
By pick list and select the Owner field. Look for the projects owned by the
user you want to delete. If you see any projects owned by this person, that
is why you cannot delete him/her, and you must edit the Properties of each
of those projects and select a different Owner before you can delete
him/her. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

that was the first I checked. The user is NOT owner of a project ...

Hmmm. By chance, is the user the Owner of an unpublished Proposal or
Activity Plan? Those are the only other possibilities I can think of. Let
us know.

Hi Dale,

I did not find the UID in the table dbo_msp_projects_draft proj_prop_auth,
although not in the field wres_uid.

I am not shure whether this field wres_uid is the projectowner, but I can't
find another one in the draft database.

with the other points I never worked with that user ...

I'm fresh out of ideas on how to resolve your problem. Perhaps someone else
in the newsgroup has an idea for you. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Peter,

I suspect there is at least one project in the Archive that the user owns.
To resolve:

1. In PWA, go to Server Settings
2. Delete Enterprise Objects
3. What do you want to delete from Project Server? Projects, Proposals and
Activities
4. Delete the selected projects(s): Delete Projects only from Archived
database
5. Sort by Project Manager to make it easier to find the user in question.

Once you delete the projects that user owns from the Archive database, you
should be able to delete the user.

Of course, if the project has been reassigned to another user and scheduled
backups to the Archive are happening, eventually this issue would clear
itself up.

Hope this helps,
Gord
