User cannot see her tasks on her PC, but she can on another PC.

I have a situation where a user cannot see any tasks assigned to her on her
own PC, but if she logons to another computer - her tasks in "My Tasks"
display fine and she is able to enter in her information.

If I logon to her PC locally and try to access "My Tasks" - the same thing
happens, no tasks are displayed for me, but once I logon to my computer all
the tasks are there.

This sounds like it is a local PC issue.

Any ideas on what I should check for?

Please advise...

Thank You.

Hi,

are you using Project Server 2003 or 2007?

is they user logged onto the PC with their windows creditials?

has the site been added as a trusted site? is this the ActiveX Control that
is not showing? are you able to see the Project Center?

Sorry - I should have specified up front.

We are using Project Server 2007 SP1 with the IU and the August 2008 CU.

I will check to see if the site has been added as a trusted site. The active
x control does display, but the tasks are empty (none are displayed).

Thanks..

Hi Ivor,
Just worth checking that the Show Only Current tasks checkbox (My Tasks |
Settings) is clear. Also, just to double check you are looking at the
correct instance (http://<server>/<instance> on the "dodgy" pc?

Will do Ben -thanks for the quick response.

Once the user comes in this morning I will check both your and Dharmesh's
suggestions.

Thanks!

I cleared the USER cache in IE and then restarted the browser.

User is now able to see her tasks in "My Tasks"

Thanks for all your help!
