User credentials

PS 2007.

Hi everyone.

I'm having trouble with the User credential authentication on my computer:
when I try to connect to the server entering the credentials of a different
user, the owner and status manager is always me. I found out that no matter
whose credentials I enter, Project is always taking the credentials of the
Windows session (in this case: ME).

This is happening with a couple of PC's, including mine. So, what's wrong?

Thanks for your help.

I assume that you have Pro set up to manually detect connection state?

This happens even when checking "Enter User Credentials" on the Project
Pro Login screen and putting in your own Username and Password?

Or, are you being prompted by an IE-type credentials box?

Hi Stephen.

Yes. I have Project set up to Manually control connection state and I'm
checking "Enter user Credentials", but that's the problem: when I enter the
credentials of another user (even a user who doesn't have permissions), it
seems that Project doesn't take them. It's always ME who starts the session
on Project professional.

Sebastian,

Hm.

I've never encountered this before... Do you have the same problem if
you try to log in as another user in PWA?

Hi Stephen.

No, I don't have this problem in PWA. It works fine if I log-in as a
different user. I have this issue only on Project Professional.

Have you tried doing a repair install of Pro?
