User deleted a meeting request without sending cancellation.

One of my user deleted a meeting request (he was the organizer) without
sending the cancellation. We tried to get it back from the "Deleted items"
but it looks like even if you drag the meeting back into the calendar, the
"Organizer" is lost.

Is there a way to recover the meeting and send a cancellation to everyone
involved in the meeting?

Don't drag the meeting back into the calendar. Open up the meeting request
in Deleted Items, click on Actions, Cancel Meeting, Send Meeting
Cancellation. I've done it before.

The problem is that he seems not have lost the fact that he is the
organizer. So the Cancel Meeting option is not available anymore. He can
"Accept", "Tentative", "Decline" the meeting. That's it.
