User does not receive emails

Our computers at work are running vista, and office 2007.
One user is not receiving any emails at all. We ran the check through
outlook which says that everything is working fine. When she hits
send/receive there are no error messages. She is able to send from that
account, but not receive. This is a more recent occurance, there were no
issues before last week.
Any suggestions?

Not enough information to go on. Some questions that come to my mind are...

What type of mail account is this user working with (POP3/IMAP/Exchange)?

Does this mail server offer any type of web interface to the mailbox?
Reason I ask is that I just want verify that whatever email is sent to this
user at least reaches this point.

Last but not least, is there any security software (antivirus, antispam,
..etc) installed on the desktop that offers the ability to scan email in
real-time? If yes, uninstall it and then try to check mail. Reason I go
this route is that many of these programs set themselves up in the middle of
the connection between Outlook and the mail server and could interfere.
After the test, reinstall the security software and make sure it gets its
updates.

Sorry, I'm new to this forum.
It's a POP3 account.
I checked the server online and it is saying that the accounts currently
have 0 bytes used. (I'm not sure if that answers your second question).
I've disabled the virus scan for emails, and still no luck.
I also tried adding a new account into outlook, using the information, but
that didn't work either.

I set it up through the server to forward the users emails to a different
(Yahoo) account. And that is working. So it is getting to the server.
But any emails from the past week are not there.

Hmm... 0 bytes used tells me the the mailbox is empty, but messages usually
don't up and vanish either unless some outside force is at play. So
assuming that Yahoo is home to both mailboxes...

Do they offer a web interface to the mailbox giving you trouble?

Are there multiple folders? Reason I ask is that POP3 accounts only look at
the "inbox" kept on the server. If there are other folders and items are
moved to them by some sort of server side rule, Outlook will never see the
message.

Yeah, I don't understand why suddenly it says 0 bytes.
Thank you so much about suggesting the web interface. I didn't know if the
server/accounts that we use had that. But after some searching on the server
I found it, was able to log in and see the users email.
However, even using the web interface there is still nothing after last
week. But I know that emails were sent past then.
The only folder used is the inbox. The users account is not set up with
rules to move mail.
So I was able to access the older emails using the web interface, but there
is still about a week of emails that have just disappeared.
