User gets "the operation failed" when opening folder in new window

Hi,

my client is using an exchange server with outlook 2003. one user has
multiple folders in her inbox. when she tries to open any one of the folders
in a new window, she gets the error: "the operation failed".

has anyone else come accross this, and if so, could you tell me how you got
around this?

Is she able to open them from the Folder List or just via the Outlook bar?

Yes. The new window opens after she clicks "ok" to the error message. She
doesn't use the OL bar.

Is there anything in her application event viewer?

Unfortunately not. That's the first place I looked. There's no evidence in
there that Outlook is having any issues. She's been having this issue for a
while. I've run a detect and repair, as well as re-installing Office all
together. Still, she gets this error.

Try deleting and recreating her Outlook profile (not the Exchange mailbox or
the Windows profile). Reboot before you recreate it.
