user migration when switching hosted exchange 2007 servers

I administer 11 Outlook 2007 users.

I am familiar with how to switch profiles, exchange account settings, ost
files, and rules.

Is there a way to maintain the user's outlook desktop settings? can I copy
files from the old to the new profile?

What are "Outlook desktop settings"? Outlook doesn't interact with the
desktop, as far as I'm concerned. If you mean the views and settings within
Outlook that a person has chosen for himself, some of them are in
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook, some in %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook
(Vista) or %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
(XP), some in the registry, and some, I believe, in hidden folders in the
data store.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I mean the views & settings within outlook.
Everyone has had to restore all their preferences and rules, when we changed
to Exchange accounts. I am trying to find a way to minimize the amount of
changes when I move to a different exchange host.

Is there a book, or other reference, that would tell me where the settings
are strored? I presntly have profiles with both hosts on my computer, should
I just experiment?

Amazon.com will find any book for you. Perhaps you should consider using
the Profile Wizard that's part of the Office Resource Kit for your Office
version.
