User Permissions

I have a simple Access database and I need to secure it. I have a main menu
and I want to be able to allow some users to run the query options but not
the edit data options. How would I go about doing this? I tried to create
a few users but when I closed that database and opened another one, it asked
me to logon. I only what it for this database and no others. What are my
options?
