User Roles Error Message: The following group cannot be used

I´m using User Roles to define each view a user can view, but when I try to
assign a group to a user roles, I receive this message "The following group
cannot be used: domain\group. This may because membership is hidden or group
information is not public.
I'd tried all kinds of group, but always receive this message.

Do I need any special permission to use this function ?
My machine is a Domain member.
