Hey there,
I want to set up security for users in Access 2007. From what I have been
reading, this is now done by encrypting the database? Is this correct? No
more username and password, just a password?

Also, I understand creating an .mde limits the user from viewing the code or
deisgn of forms and reports, but is there a way to limit the user from
touching the design of queries AND entering data DIRECTLY into the table, I
want them to use the form.

Thanks for your help!

Access 2007 using an .acc file format no longer supports user-level security.
Just one password for the entire database.

However if you use the old .mdb format, you can have user-level security and
do the things that you want such as preventing them from touching the queries
or directly entering data into the tables.

In a nutshell, you want to use a .mdb file and enable user-level security.

I'm ok I guess with the one password, but you're saying for Access 2007 there
is no way to keep them from entering data into the tables directly?
Thanks!
