User style containing fixed text

Hello,
Does anyone know if its possible to create a user-defined style that
has a fixed text label. For example, is it possible to create a style
called "Note" that has fixed text showing "! Note: ", after which the
user can type in the details of the note.

Similarly, is it possible for a user defined style to always display a
specific image?

Try creating a Note style using customized numbering--type text in the
Number Format field and set Number Style: (none).

I've done it but haven't had it in my file long enough to identify
gotchas.
