User template with pictures

In Outlook 2007, I created a custom email user template with a few jpg images.
It works perfectly but the recipient sees the image list as attachments on
the header
just like any normal attachment. But the images are already on the form so
there is no reason to show or open attachments at all. In fact, it is
undesireable in this case.
Is there a way to eliminate this list in the header? Or in the alternative,
remove the images from appearing in the form until they are opened by the
recipient, as is the case that we are used to.

Any help thanks.

This completely depends on the recipient. While Outlook does not display a
paperclip icon for embedded images, other mail clients may do so. Also,
various virus scanner solutions which integrate with Outlook can mangle the
header to such a point that embedded images will also show the message with
a paperclip icon or with an attachment list. In several cases this could
also already happen at the sender's side.

Uninstall this integration feature of the virus scanner and try again.

Instead of embedding the images of the template in the message, you could
also place the images on a web server and specify the web location as the
source of your images.

.
Thank you for that. But is there a way to eliminate the attachment list from appearing at the template level so that it does not appear at the recipient's client? An attachment list is a moot point since the images are already on the page when the mail is opened. I sent one to IE8/Windows Live Mail/Norton IS 2010 and was surprised to see the images within the text. I tried downloading the images from the attachment paper clip list just to see what would happen. I was given the option to open or save. I opened and nothing changed in the template.
Come to think of it, is Outlook's user template system beating AV scans?

I'm not sure how your reply is different from your original post which I
answered; it's not up to Outlook.
