user unauthorized to run dbcc traceon in excel to sql 2005 dbase

-I am using excel to extract data from an sql server 2005 database. I created
an ODBC linked to the database.
-The user i used to login is just a normal user with no administrative
rights.
- When I create a new database query, using the ODBC, it gives me error "
'user' is not authorized to run dbcc traceon "
- Hope to get an idea to solve this. Thanks.
