Usernames and passwords

I'm new at web design. I would like to be able to control access to certain
webpages by giving usernames and passwords to my coworkers. In addition, I
would like to allow the coworkers to change their passwords automatically, if
they wish. Any suggestions?

I am hosted on Yahoo, which uses FrontPage 2002 extensions. In order to
allow 'permissions' to subwebs, I have to do it through Yahoo, not through
FrontPage.

You would need to be able to use a database and server-side scripting (ASP, PHP, etc.) to accomplish
this.
