Users doubleclick Word Documents and get an empty Word program.

On Terminal Server 2003 using Office Pro 2003, there are some users who
double click on a Word doc who get the Word program open, but there is no
document. Not even a blank doc.. There is no error message. If, inside of
the Word program they do File-Open for the same document, it will open. Same
users have no such problem on a Terminal Server 2000 running Office 2000.

Some users have this problem, some don't. All users are in the same domain,
same OU and are member of the same groups.

Any luck with your problem? I have the same problem. It happens to non- admin
users. Also, it does not allow use of the mouse to edit or highlight text and
we get errors in outlook if it is set to use word as the email editor.

It turned out to be a plugin to our document scanning program. We do not use
it so I unistalleded it and it fixed everything. It somehow allowed documents
to be saved directly into our program called medforce. Hope this helps.
