User's PowerPoint 2007 not displaying bullet options correctly

It is not the file as I can get bullets properly using same hardware and
software. Also, he has this problem with every PowerPoint file.

Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 (12.0.6504.5000), SP1 MSO (12.0.6320.5000)

Dell Optiplex GX280 with 1 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive
Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

I have a PDF with screen shots if anyone wants to see.

The option appears but the bullet characters do not. Even the word "None"
only displays the bottom third of the word.

It's a printer driver isse. User needs appropriate local printer drivers set
as default.

Assuming these are typical PowerPoint bullets. I'd bet the two systems have
two different types of Symbol font: One is using a Type 1 and the other a
TrueType, or, Symbol is missing.
