i wish to use a 3 damential array to
enter data form a form
add to the data at a later date
search the first 2 dimansions for a match
retrieve the data from all the denentions and display it in form or list box

Now I could figure out that "damential" and "dimansions" must be
"dimensional" and "dimensions" - but "denentions" just has me baffled.

Your should have a Table with three fields: X, Y, and TheValue. Your form
would let you enter the X and Y coordinates and the value for that position. A
simple Query will let you retrieve values for any specific coordinates, or
range of coordinates.

The same logic can easily be extended to four, five, or up to 254 dimensions,
if you're able to visualize such!
