Using a local master file like a template to make a new program

Hi folks,

I'm trying to make a copy of a set of dependent project. As such, I'm
trying to figure out if there is a way to create a copy of a set of linked
files without carrying over links from the original set of files. Is it
possible?

Using a local master (set as read-only) with all the server subprojects
inserted as read-only as well, I succeed by using 'Save As' to create a new
local master file with the a new set of inserted projects with the proper
links and without the links of the original files. However, when I go to
open the new sub project files individual, the links to the original files
are added to these new files.

The tedious work around I have now is using my new local master to look for
the external links and delete them one by one... there has to be a better
way!!!

Please tell me there is!

Thanks,

There's no better way. This is one of the limitations of using a master
project, and this limitation has been around for a very long time. Hope
this helps.
