Using a prf file with both outlook XP and outlook 2007

We are in the middle of upgrading to outlook 2007 is it possiable to add the
settings for cache mode to a prf file that was created for outlook xp and use
it for both office xp and office 2007, in other words will office xp ignore
the settings in the prf file that do not apply to that.

Try it and see... outlook 2002 can use an ost (in offline mode) so it will
likely create it. The bigger issue IMHO is in not creating a new profile
when going from 2002 to 2007. A new profile is highly recommended when
moving from ansi only version to version which have unicode support.

Hmm Good point I completly for got about the change to unicode support, since
its a differnt registry key for that seeting may just make a new prf.
