Consider the fact that a user of Access for several years who has never messed
with security might have created hundreds of MDBs and every one of them with the
default System.mdw. If the default file can be used for multiple databases why
not any other MDW?
If you start Access using a particular MDW then any file you create in that
session will be "Using" that MDW.
