Using a SS created in excel 2003 with excel 2002

Some help please. I have created a SS using excel 2003, for my daughter's
employer. It has a date which, when changed automatically updates a number of
other dates in the spreadsheet. When she tries to change the date using excel
2002 (XP), there are problems. (seems to be related to cell format). Is there
an incompatibility issue when using a SS created in excel 2003 on excel
2002?. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks
