Last year, I made a pretty elaborate Word template for my company using
Word 2003. Recently I received a new computer with Word 2007 and I am
having problems with some of the styles in the previous template.
I can open the template in 2007 and use most of the styles in the same
way except for numbering and bullets. Those two styles have disappeared.
Their examples in the template are still correct but when I click the
bullet or number option in the menu bar, they are incorrect.
I can apply the Heading styles to the text, but I am unable to modify
them. When I try to modify the heading styles, the style is displayed
and described. When I click "Format" and then "Numbering" the style is
not listed in the "Numbering Library".
Maybe I originally created the template incorrectly (and information
was stored in the Normal template?), but I would like to know if there
is anyway to recover this information from the original template. Any
help is appreciated. Thanks!
