Using accents and symbols in Entourage

Hi

I need to type a lot of emails in French which means using accents. How
can I find accents etc when typing an email in Entourage?

The same applies to using the £ symbol. I have a wireless keyboard
that does not have a £ key. How can I find this symbol.

I have just started using Entourage and used Outlook before where one
could simply import symbols but I cannot find this in Entourage.
