Using an image in the background

P

Peet Fetsch

Hello all,
I'm very new to this whole newsgroup thing so be patient with me.;) I was
directed here by a Microsoft Tech. person.

I would like to be able to insert an image into the background of a Word
document (Insert>From File>etcŠ) but would like it if the user would not be
able to click on the background.

Basically, our client wants us to create a template style document that has
an image in the background. They only want the text block to be editable,
nothing else.

I tried inserting the image into the background (behind the text, centered,
etc) AND I also tried the Watermark insert. The Watermark worked pretty well
except that the image on screen was screened back lighter. This is a
problem, since they will be using these as email attachments.

I hope that this makes sense. If not, I can explain it further tomorrow
morning.

Thanks in advance y'all!

Best,
Peet
