Using an offset formula for the Chart Data Range

I'm using Excel 2003 and have an offset formula that I put as the Data Range.
However everytime I change the data in the data range the offset command
doesnot update with the correct data? I also tried to create a Named Range
using the Offset, and then reffering to the named range as the Charts data
Range, it still does not work. How can I get this so that it updates my
chart with the correct data. Do I need to assign the Charts Range in a Macro
then update? If so, how would I do that?

Any ideas?

You are asking this in a Macintosh forum. However, there is little
distinction between the versions on this subject. It ought to work fine.
Undoubtedly, there is something "funny" in your offset formula. What is the
formula? And, how are you trying to expand the range? Also, no you probably
do not need to assign the chart range in a macro.

You definitely don't need a macro. I've written several such charts,
which use a reference to a (named) cell to grab the current desired
offset and thence define the range of data to plot. I'm pretty sure
there are examples at OATBRAN. If not, drop me a note or email and I'll
try to dig up one of my example workbooks.
