Using an Update Query to assign a sequential number

I am trying to add a sequential series of numbers to an
existing field in a table for records that match a certain
criteria (records with type "A" need to be assigned a
number starting at "35" and incrementing by 1 until the
end of the records are reached).

Any help would be appreciated.
