Using Analyze Access report with Microsoft office Excel

I'm using parameterized query to generate a report in Access. I have a
field in the query which is alphanumeric i.e. it can be number or text
( for eg. 0001 or B001 or 0001A etc) . When I try to download the
report to excel using tools-> analyze it with microsoft office excel.
It changes the text like 0001 to 1 and text eg. 0020A to 0.833333

If anyone can help me guide how I can have same text data in excel
file too. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Create make table query on access that use your parameter query and by that
store the data on your query into table.

After that change the query to insert query and save it for the future.

After that export the table you have created. This should solve your problem
good luck

I'm using adp Access application. It is connected to SQL Server. and
the view is used for report results.

I think i cannot use make table query you suggested. Thanks for your
suggestion. Is there anything in formatting we can change?
