Using arrows in Word, result in Windows

Via character palette I inserted some arrows in word. When I openen the
document in Windows I saw completely other signs or characters.
What can I do to prevent this?

Hi Jan,

There is an article, "Share Word for Mac documents with Word for Windows
users" that contains information concerning what fonts have the same
characters from platform to platform. The article is here:

Arrows made using the drawing toolbar will always work on every platform. To
display the drawing toolbar from Word's menu use
View > Toolbars > Drawing
