Using both Office 2004 & Office X

microsoft suggests to uninstall Office X when using Office 2004.
I want to use both, as addin for EndNote is not prepared for Office 2004.
Could anyone tell me what trouble is expected when I use Office X and
Office 2004 on same user account?
