using bullets stops WORD. How can I correct this problem?

When I try to insert bullets in a WORD document, the program will immediately
cease functioning, and then WORD restarts. I am using Office XP. This
problem just started occurring.

The first thing to do is find the key in the Registry. On my machine, it's
at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\List Gallery
Presets; in your case, it will probably be 10.0 instead of 11.0. I'm not
sure exactly where to go from there, but I would suggest exporting the key
(which backs it up), then deleting it. This seems to be the advice given in
